Back in 2011 I did an article on eShakti, a website that allows you to put in custom measurements for dresses, skirts, and tops. Through the years I’ve featured a dress here and there, but I never took the time to order one. I even recently added them to my store listing for the tall and curvy.
It wasn’t until a coworker showed up with this amazing 60s style dress that I decided to bite the bullet. Just seeing it in person and getting an honest review from someone I know was the tipping point. I decided to just order my size versus putting in my custom measurements. With that option you can still choose your height so I thought that I might be ok. The skirt I ordered was to small. It felt one size smaller (I couldn’t even zip it up). So I decided to return it and I’ll order it again but use the custom sizing instead.
The second item I ordered was the Cranes in the Reeds Dress. It fits like a glove. If I gain 1 pound it’s over for that dress! lol! However, I love it so much I kept it and wore it last Sunday for my wedding anniversary. The fabric is a heavy weight cotton and I love the decorative embroidery stitching. Dress definitely felt like it was cut for my height. Oh…and for you pocket lovers, the dress has deep pockets. The only thing I don’t like is the snap in the front (it kept popping open–I may remove it). And when it’s open you can see the silver snap.
If you decide to order a dress know that it will take a few weeks to arrive. I will definitely be ordering from here again. Have you ordered from eShakti? Please leave a comment or post your dress on my FB page or tag me in your IG post.
Message from me on Sound Cloud. I was really congested when I recorded this–eek–But hopefully you still enjoy it. Please share this post if you like it.
