Well, I must say I had a fun and expensive time at the Long Tall Sally Pop Up Shop in DC. I had a set amount of money that I wanted to spend and I went a wee bit over, but it was worth it (Unfortunately, I didn’t find any sale items.). I decided to go on Saturday, April 16th even though it was a nasty stormy day; however, I was determined to check it out since that was the only day I was available. They had a wide variety of jeans, a number of very cute jackets, and even some swimsuits. While there I ran into the ladies that run the Size 12 Shoe Store in Maryland and I was able to tell a few people about my blog. So all in all, it was a pretty good rainy day. Here are some pics from the event.
As soon as I walked in the Embassy I knew immediately were to go. Signage is extremely important. I hate wandering around or asking for directions.
I saw the blue dress and the other tall gals and I knew I was in the right place.
There were lots of selections and it wasn’t to crowded because of the rainy weather that day. I got there around 1:30 and the event was scheduled to end at five, but there was still plenty to choose from.
If you don’t go for anything else, go for the jeans. They had a wall full of different brands and cuts.
While there I ran into the owner of Size 12 Shoes Store in Gaithersburg, Maryland and her sister. Both sporting cute Size 12 t-shirts. It’s always nice to see familiar faces while out.
So what did I buy?
I was able to get two really cute jackets. The first one is the Bylyse Mixed Media Yoga Jacket, which I love. And the second one is the Piped Trench Coat. Normally I hate belted coats on me, but I like the cut of this one so I snatched it up.
I also found this cute Drapery Linen Jacket. Perfect for special occasions or work. The pants you see are the Linen Mix Chambray Roll Up Pants. They only had a couple left so luckily I was able to find my size. I love how you can wear them either long or cropped. They are also very light which makes them perfect for the summer. I think these will be my vacation pants.
Last, but not least, I of course purchased some jeans. I really didn’t need another pair, but these were calling my name. They are by Makers of True Originals and have a 37″ inseam. I could not find a link to them on Long Tall Sally’s website so I’m not sure if they carry them online.
I hope you liked the pictures and I encourage you to go to the next LTS Pop Up Shop near you. You’re sure to find something you like and you’ll meet like minded individuals.
Until next time!
