When I stepped into the Tall Girl Shop last year, before they closed their stores—so sad, I saw the The Tall Book by Arianne Cohen (6’3”) for sale on the counter. I felt compelled to support the author who took the time to write a book about the life of talls. Growing up I hardly ever came across writings that discussed being tall. So a few weeks later, while on vacation, I decided to give it a try. The book was an easy read and very informative. It did not disappoint. Information in the book included the history and success of talls, average heights around the world, and tall organizations. Cohen also discusses growing up tall, the connection of talls and sports, and the medical side of being tall. The topics covered provided me with a new perspective on being tall. It was refreshing to know someone took the time to research this information.
This is a great book for all ages, especially for a younger tall that wants to understand why they are tall, as well as, what talls are capable of. It reinforces that there is a whole world of talls out there that we may not see everyday. If this book sounds interesting please click the image below to purchase. I give it five stars and it makes a wonderful gift!
